Official Synopsis
Produced by the independent Tartaly Film Collective in Kyrgyzstan, Alihan’s Village (Bizdin Ayyl) follows a young boy named Alihan living in a rural mountain village where everyone knows each other’s nicknames. The documentary intimately depicts his daily routine as he assists his father with household chores and plays traditional alchiki (ankle-bone games) with neighborhood youth, offering a vivid perspective on Central Asian village childhood.

Dastan Borkosh is a Kyrgyz filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor. He is a co-founder and key contributor to the Tartaly Film Collective in Bishkek, focusing on contemporary Central Asian youth narratives and independent documentary cinema.
